about us

🌿 Fallow Field: A Space for Collective Care and Community Renewal

Fallow Field is a community-led project that brings together people working and volunteering on the frontlines of social justice, refugee, and asylum support. It’s a place to pause, reflect, and reconnect — together.

Born from conversations with local frontline workers, Fallow Field was created in response to a shared need: space to rest, connect, and rebuild strength in community. Our sessions bring together therapists, artists, activists, and community organisers who share a belief that care and connection are at the heart of change.

Through creative workshops, reflective practice, and shared dialogue, we nurture wellbeing, belonging, and resilience — helping people support one another and sustain the work that keeps our communities strong.

Fallow Field is rooted in the values of love, community, belonging, and justice. These are not abstract ideals; they are the everyday practices that shape how we listen, collaborate, and care for one another.

When we make space for rest and reflection, we make space for each other. Together, we’re growing a culture of care where everyone can breathe, belong, and thrive.

❤️ Our Values

Love

A practice of care, rest, and connection

Everything we do begins here. Love is not abstract for us — it’s embodied in how we listen, collaborate, and create space for others to rest and renew. It’s the quiet force that shapes every interaction, every offering, every act of service.

Kinship

Where community and belonging meet

kinship is the quiet knowing that we belong to one another — to the land, to our communities, to the wider web of life. It’s the warmth of shared understanding, the nod that says “you are not alone in this”

Sovereignty

The rooted strength that allows us to rest on our own terms

At Fallow Field, sovereignty means choosing alignment over obligation, standing firmly in what nourishes us, and trusting that grounded presence is its own quiet form of rebellion.

Justice

Love in action

Our commitment to justice begins within. We practise fairness, honesty, and respect in how we work together, knowing that real change grows from integrity. Justice is how love moves through the world — ensuring that care, dignity, and equity are not privileges, but shared birthrights.
